What to expect on testing day
How long is the exam?

You will have 6 hours allotted to take the exam.
As a reference point, the author took 4.5 hours, which included one 10-minute stretch/bio break and one 15–20 minute meal break.
Pro-Tip: Schedule your testing window during the time of day you work best (morning vs. evening) to maximize success.
Are calculators allowed?

No calculators are allowed, including your phone or applications within the testing software.
Calculations are relatively basic and typically use round numbers.
No scrap paper is permitted, but the test center will provide a dry-erase sheet and marker.
Pro-Tip: Use the dry-erase sheet to write down key formulas as soon as you sit down to avoid forgetting them due to fatigue or stress.
Will I know how I am performing
as I take the test?

No. You cannot see your accuracy rate until you complete and submit your answers.
Once submitted, you will instantaneously receive your Pass/Fail grade.
Can I flag questions, change answers, or leave questions blank?

Yes. You can flag, change, or return to questions at any time until you submit your final responses.
Does the clock stop during breaks?

No. The clock runs continuously for the full 6 hours. You must manage your time efficiently.
Tips for test day preparation?

The Basics: Prioritize a good night’s rest and a solid meal for better stamina.
Belongings: You cannot keep food or beverages at your testing station. You will be provided a small locker for your belongings.
Recharge: Packing snacks is recommended. Taking a short lunch or stretch break is strongly encouraged to refresh and recharge.
